Living Water Monastery

Living Water Monastery offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to experience intentional, mindful living in a community dedicated to personal and collective transformation. Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of the Beloved... Community, our monastery welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds to live, work, and grow together in community.

While we don’t follow the traditional structure of monks and nuns, our daily rhythm of meditation, service, and communal work fosters a deep sense of purpose and spiritual connection. Residents participate in daily meditation sessions and work on campus about 4 hours a week. This balance of inner reflection and outward service is key to the growth and transformation we strive for.

Our flexible residency program immerses participants in mindful communal living, offering a supportive space for spiritual practice and community living. Residents can stay at the monastery for a full year, 6 months, or a semester.

Whether you are seeking a peaceful living space for academic study or looking to dive deeper into mindful living, Living Water Monastery provides an inclusive, nurturing space to reflect, grow, and contribute to a greater good.
