Located in the heart of downtown, it is one of Richmonds most distinctive landmarks for... apartment living and retail Residences at the John Marshall. With its towering skyline presence, prominent rooftop marquee, striking entrance and lobby, the 16-story historic building has undergone a complete renovation. With all the modern conveniences of today and stunning urban views of Richmonds capital district, the John Marshall is a Three Green Globes Certified Green Building offering 241 Class A studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments with 55 unique floor plans.
I would never, ever move here again. The new management is completely inexperienced and inept. Carpets are stained with dog urine and never cleaned. Our floor constantly smells of marijuana, probably due to high percentage of students living here. Hallways are poorly lit, with burned out light bulbs which aren't changed for months. The parking lot at the side of the building has huge chronically overflowing trash bins and rats. There has been an abandoned car in one of two handicap parking spots which has been there for at least 6 months, illegally parked with no inspection sticker and very suspect. Security and management refuse to address this issue. We are looking to move ASAP.

This Place is Gorgeous!
`If you haven't already definitely go look at the residences at John Marshall if you are looking in the Richmond area. I absolutely love the building and apartments are such a good size! Highly recommend!

Terrific in every way!
Superior living! Staff very friendly and responsive! Very clean and great amenities! On site security at all times! Very quiet. Never hear neighbors. Occasionally hear someone in hallway but rare.

Historic Building, Great Location, Spacious Apartment
location in central downtown richmond. i park my car on weekends and leave until monday workdays. everything i need is well within walking distance. the apartment complex is well kept. the staff are professional and responsive.my barber is located in the building as is a pool hall. the apartment itself is solid, quiet and has great city views.
